The Permanent Exhibition Department of the Sybir Memorial Museum — preparations for the EMYA2025
Today we would like to present the Permanent Exhibition Department of the Sybir Memorial Museum. It cares of the exceptional experience of visitors with passion and takes part in preparations for the EMYA2025.
The Permanent Exhibition Department is responsible not only for handling and keeping safe the permanent exhibition, but also preparing temporary exhibitions. Employees take care of 158 glass-cases, 449 objects, 43 soundtracks, 29 projections, 50 interfaces and 9 interactive kiosks in order to keep them in perfect condition for visitors. They also are ready to provide required information, help in usage of the interactive devices and look after visitors’ comfort.
Keeping relations with Sybiraks — co-hosts of the museum — is the crucial task of this department. It organizes events dedicated to them, such as New Year’s meetings, All Souls’ Days or Women’s Days, and sends Christmas greetings and gifts to over 300 Sybiraks. All of these actions impact intergenerational ties and community.
During the EMYA2025, the Permanent Exhibition Department is going to present its work during thematic meetings arranged as workshops, organized within the Sybir Memorial Museum’s Day on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Participants will have an opportunity to deal with activities related to keeping the relations with the Sybiraks’ community and events dedicated to them. It will also be a perfect opportunity to get to know the organizations with which the Permanent Exhibition Department usually cooperates on a daily basis.
