The Sybir Memorial Museum day

On May 21, 2025, we invite you to visit the permanent exhibition with the participation of Sybiraks, as well as to take part in meetings, workshops, and panel discussions.

The collection of registration packages and the registration itself for all events specially prepared for the EMYA2025 participants will also take place on May 21, 2025.

The permanent exhibition tour with the participation
 of Sybiraks

We invite you on a journey through the World of Sybir. While visiting the permanent exhibition, you will see the dramatic fate of the deportees, their daily struggle for survival and the stories of ordinary objects that hide extraordinary secrets. A meeting and conversation with witnesses of the historical events we deal with in the Museum will be a crucial part of the tour. It will also be an opportunity to talk with other museum specialists about the secrets of creating contemporary exhibitions.

Inspiring thematic meetings

For the Sybir Memorial Museum Day, we have planned workshops and discussions on different topics like education, accessibility, and building relationships with the local community. Each meeting will be led by the staff of the Sybir Memorial Museum, who will share their knowledge and experience. Historical Białystok guided walking tour

Explore the atmosphere of Białystok — a city founded in the 17th century that was a real cultural melting pot of this part of Europe. In its history and architecture you will find Jewish, Belarusian, Lithuanian, and Tatar influences, creating a unique heritage that fascinates till today.

Białystok is also the city of Ludwik Zamenhof, the creator of the Esperanto language, a symbol of efforts in achieving the unity and understanding between people. During the two-hour guided walk, you will discover fascinating stories about the city’s past and culture.

The program of the walking tour includes a visit to beautiful gardens of the Branicki Palace – the “Versailles of the North” as well as the city center with the historic City Hall. The program also contains admiring the interiors of historic temples. Get ready to see the authentic heritage of this part of Europe!

Welcome concert and dinner in a unique atmosphere

The evening will end with a concert of the “Czeremszyna” band, performing ethnic music and a dinner at the building of the Sybir Memorial Museum. This will be a perfect opportunity to meet the participants of EMYA2025 and exchange experiences.
