The annual conference and awards ceremony of the European Museum of the Year 2025 (EMYA) will take place on 21-25 May 2025 in Białystok. It will be hosted by the Sybir Memorial Museum, winner of the Council of Europe Museum Prize 2024 .

This unique event will bring the EMYA community together, including former candidates, winners, and nominees for the EMYA2025, as well as partners and experts from the museum sector. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in inspiring panel discussions, workshops, and debates focused on innovations and best practices in European museology.

Collecting of the packages for all events will take place on May 21 in the Sybir Memorial Museum building, located at Węglowa Street 1 in Białystok. Workshops, panel discussions, and special guided tours of the permanent exhibition will also be arranged at the Museum.

The conference sessions and the ceremony of the European Museum of the Year Award 2025 (from 22 to 24 May) will take place at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic — European Art Center in Białystok. The Stanisław Moniuszko Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic presents nearly 70 years of Philharmonic tradition with the modernity of opera in one place. This institution is the only one in the country with a dual profile — opera and philharmonic. The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic is a modern space for music lovers, theater enthusiasts, and active participants in cultural life. It is a place where also many congresses, fairs, and anniversaries are organized every year.
